Pitch for Photo Shoot

I intend to capture a simplistic yet effective portrait image of a young, female model. 

Concept 

 The female is a young, successful woman, and has achieved many things throughout her life so far, therefore a magazine have interviewed her about her successful lifestyle, and how she got where she is today. I wish to portray her as an upper class business woman, or new 'up and coming' musical artist. 

Everything must look sharp, detailed and elegant. The young female will look classy or wealthy. Everything in the photo must be relevant or suggest success. (Unless I decide I want to introduce juxtaposition, meaning a contrast between wealth and poor) 

I wish to have a studio set, most likely white background, set up with three point lighting, resulting in a contrast between background and model, who will be wearing black. 

The target audience will range from late teens upwards. This is because a wide variety of readers/viewers could be potentially interested in this successful woman. The interview may appeal to younger readers who are keen on business/celebrities. However older people may also be enticed by the success of the individual, and therefore the article may appeal to them too.

Fit for purpose is essential for this photographic shoot. I need to portray the individuals success and emotions through the picture. This means every aspect of the image, from the models facial expression, to the lighting and props must be arranged and planned to the finest detail, resulting in the perfect image, which is fit for purpose. I will ensure it is fit for purpose by taking into consideration the whole composition of the image. For example quintessential classy or expensive looking jewellery.

The overall set of images are based on glamour and success. although simplistic, I still wish for the celebrity's chic style an elegance to be reflected in the images. One way of achieving this could be the use of black clothing. Especially in the fashion world, black is a sign of elegance and is likely to present this to the viewers of the images. Including jewellery, some make up, and with the help of lighting, I wish to achieve images that demonstrates the persons success, beauty and sophistocated lifestyle.

 Here is a black and white image of Marilyn Monroe, it is extremely simplistic yet very effective. Her stare to the right makes the image much more interesting, and the large dangling earrings reflect success.
